Anjani Varma, Director and Northern California Chapter President
Anjani is of Indo-Fijian decent. She was born and raised in the Bay Area of California. Her parents migrated from the Fiji Islands in the early 1970s. Her father (deceased) was a maintenance man at an Airline company and her mom worked (now retired) as a cook at a restaurant. She has an older autistic brother and a younger sister. Both Anjani and her sister are first-generation college graduates. She comes from a large extended family, both her parents have over six siblings each, which allowed her to grow up with over 30 first cousins. Everyone treats each other as brothers and sisters. Her profession is Student Services Specialist at Stanford University.
Her interests/ hobbies are Foodie, Music Nerd, Crafting Projects, Horror Films, and anything Star Wars & Disney! She wants to continue working within Higher Education where she can help students achieve their educational goals, especially within the Pacific Islander Community.
